We start with the problem and the people who have it. A farm ledger and a loan calculator fail in different ways, so each gets studied on its own terms.

Expected behaviour, failure paths and edge cases are written down before any code exists, with acceptance criteria you can test against.

Screens, flows and every state a user can reach, including the empty and error ones. We design the whole journey, not the ideal path through it.
